So, I love it when vintage stuff becomes on-trend in fashion. And this Spring, one of the BIGGEST looks for S/S '11 is Seventies-Inspired fashion! :))
Time to hippie it up.

As you can see, the Spring runways were overflowing with 70's-inspired looks: wide-leg jeans (skinny haters rejoice!), maxi skirts, floppy hats, bangly jewelry, etc.
Retail ad campaigns are also RIFE with hippie-esque fashion right now. LOVING IT.

I don't know why, but we have a fascination with bohemian fashion. It keeps resurfacing every few years. Maybe it's the easygoing attitude of it; it's certainly not a hard look to emulate. Maybe we like the ideology behind the look: free-spiritedness, rule-breaking, free love, forging your own way regardless of convention...whatever the reasons, I personally love the bohemian-hippie look and am so glad it's back. Can't wait to embrace it this spring/summer. :)
